Butterfly bookmark
I made this bookmark using some collaged pieces of paper on a paint color tag. I was organising one day and found the stamps hidden in an old tin inside a cellophane envelope. As I recall there was an offer with some tea and I of course had to order them. I hid them away for safekeeping (anyone else do this?) and only recently found them again. I decided to use this one with the pretty butterfly to create a ooak bookmark for a wonderful lady who I was sending inchies to.
'Show on Earth' Inchie
This was a group of three circus related inchies that I made for a swap...this little three ring circus has traveled all the way to England!
Inchie
This inchie was made using tiny bits of paper and some very small microfilm images as embellishments. The blue paper is a small piece of origami paper.
Another inchie
Here's another inchie I made using collaged paper pieces which I cut very, very small! I didn't realise until after I finished these that people tend to make them in a large sheet first. They do their backgrounds, add in other elements and then they then cut them up into their 1" square pieces. This way was probably more difficult but at least there will never be another one like this one! Some of these initial attempts have got quite a few hits on my Flickr page.
Inchie
What's an Inchie?
Well it's a very small piece of art measuring 1' square. It can be made from virtually anything like metal, wood, paper, fabric and it can be collaged, rubberstamped, hand or machine sewn, drawn, or painted.
This was one of my first attempts and I used a combination of very small collaged elements.
