Offering ATC

I'm an artist who likes to paint, collage, make & trade ATC's and mixed media art pieces. I love thrift stores and anything from the 40's and 50's. I also love vintage aprons, sewing supplies, fabric, jewelry and clothes.
This is the front of a collaged box I made.
Collaged Atc using a book image, scrapbooking papers, gold scroll transfers and stickers.
Collaged ATC... another with one of my favorite numbers!
Colllaged Atc for me....various papers, buttons etc.
This was done for a recent swap I was in...I had saved several images of Lotuses specifically for this swap but I when I went to make it I couldn't find the pictures I'd saved so I used this stylized one on the green card and then the little tag with a lotus. I like how it turned out.
This was made several months ago and the right hand side had a blank strip and then recently I found the red ribbon and it seemed to go perfectly there and then...voila, it was done!
This was made for a swap with collaged pieces from a newspaper and some metal embellishments and pieces of ribbon.
This is a collaged ATC made with newspaper cut outs.
Here's another one of my ATC's....I have several I haven't uploaded but I thought I do a quick and easy one with some paper I already had and some stickers that I bought at a new store in our 'hood.
This was made for a swap using vintage photo images....this was from a book from the 50's on photography.
This is another ATC I've made, it's been a while since I posted any but I love the old sewing papers from button cards etc for ephemera.
This was for a swap I was in, it was filled with sewing goodies!
I made a series of collages some time ago using this found image of a skirt and legs and I made it into a card but then never uploaded it. I have several cards that I've made that I'm just not happy with. I wasn't sure anyone would like this one as much as I do but in fact there were some nice compliments. So....I guess I just have to trust my judgement.
Here's the second 4 x 4 collage.....I added the day of the dead skulls to this one because my partner mentions liking that sort of thing and it seemed very Frida as well.
This Frida collage and the next were made for a swap. The purpose of the swap was to make two 4 x 4 collages and so I chose some images of Frida Iiked and just cut and paste. This one has green scrapbook paper as well as green wallpaper that parts of it looked like camouflage to me.
Wow, I've been really distracted lately and haven't been posting here much. This was a card that I think someone gave me in a package of ephemera because I don't remember putting the leg on it. I mistakenly read it to say Amour at first.....but it's armour which is maybe more practical for love at times! Anyways I like how this card turned out and I love using these types of recycled pieces of paper.
Just another collaged ATC...I love this old button card and the brown pieces of paper on the sides were chose mostly for the color and the style of text which I love.
Another grid style collage....I really love colour and making a pattern with lines or boxes or strips of papers. My least favorite part about making ATC's and collage is the scanning, editing...cropping etc., but I do love that people will see my work immediately and leave feedback about the work.
On this page I was just trying to continue with a look that would match the other pages using scraps of paper on my desk. The pieces I chose were matching in a general theme, color and some text which I used not so much for what it said but for the style of the font. I have a weakness for old fonts...typewriter style letters, and numbers.
Ă…nother page in the book in which I layered several a few pages of collage to get the effect. The gray paper is the second layer over top of some other pieces of paper.
Another page in the book....I just love the fashion books and patterns from the 40's, 50's, 60's etc.
This was the 3rd page of the book...it was going to someone who lives in Turkey and is studying design.
