I'm an artist who likes to paint, collage, make & trade ATC's and mixed media art pieces. I love thrift stores and anything from the 40's and 50's. I also love vintage aprons, sewing supplies, fabric, jewelry and clothes.
This was the second ATC for a text ATC exchange on Flickr.
Collaged recycled papers and a hand transparency given to me for a swap!
I'm not sure how many of these cats I have left but I had to switch it up and use some colors again!
The first in a series of cards using cat images that someone sent me some time ago and I've just recently re-discovered.
Using some of my favorite elements here.....colorful paper pieces, vintage looking elements, text and numbers and paper pieces given to me by other people.
I really love how this bird turned out......the bird was a rub-on and the arrangement of papers, background wasn't really thought out but pieces just seemed to fit together much like a puzzle. I am keeping some of my art cards...for now at least, to use for a possible future exhibition.
I like these mannequin figures.....this was from some scrapbooking papers made to look old. I do prefer to use old papers but I find there are so many amazing papers now with reproductions it's hard not to use them.
Another in my ATC series.....collaged papers and a little bit of my drawing with black sharpie onto brown paper which was photocopied.
I love this old car...chevy?...so I collaged it with some other scraps of paper.
Here's my latest ATC using a variety of collage elements including an image I silkscreened a few years back....o.k., maybe more than a few. I used my gocco machine to make it which I purchased in San Francisco some years ago. The machine was in like new shape and I hadn't used it in ages so I sold it. Then of course they became even more popular and highly sought after. At the time I wasn't making alot of work at home and I was taking alot of art courses so I decided to get rid of it. At some point I may buy another one....but possibly a
newer model as they still seem to be available.
This collage was made using a grid as the layout and then collaging elements over it. I recently discovered or should I say re-discovered a small baggie of old tickets I had....always fun to find something that you've forgotten about.
This grouping of images are made by other people that I have chosen as some of my favorites on Flickr....I had so many to choose from. (approx. 30 pages) I decided to go for a vintage them with some interesting artwork added in.
I was participating in a swap where we shared a 16 image mosaic of some of our favorites., again this was created at bighugelabs.com...a lot of fun and very addictive!
Here's another version of the corset collage using bighugelabs.com hockneyizer.
Collaged atc.....cute little vintage image with film clapper stickers and text from a poem.
I was in a funny mood when I made this one...I love old medical pictures and these elements were on my desk.
This is another ATC that I finished over a month ago and then let it sit on my desk...the first time I uploaded it the colors didn't look write and so I forgot about it. The orange color of the corset and the sparkles never really read well when you scan the images.
The corset piece was given to me from a talented artist/musician for a swap.
This is another collaged ATC for the group I'm in to make these for a year!
You would think these ATC's would be easy to make because you're are making something fairly small.....but it's surprising how long it can take to choose the right element for one blank corner! I wouldn't say I love this one it was just what I came up with today!
This was my 2nd grid for the 100 ideas group.
This is for a swap I'm in taking suggestions from a 100 ideas list and this was #57 as stated above to do a morning collage.
